Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What if I don't have a Motorcycle, may I still join the site?

A:  YES PLEASE DO!!  FTR is open to anyone that has a passion for motorcycles.  It doesn't matter if you own one, used to own one, or want to own one someday.  If you like to ride passenger with others you are a Friend That Rides!  Feel free to join our network and be involved at any level.  We are all Friends That Ride!

Q: How do I add/change my main photo on my profile?

A:  Once you are logged in you will notice a menu in the top navigation that has your 'USERNAME' as the title of the dropdown.  All your edit profile links are in that dropdown.

Q: How do I add photos to my Photo Galleries?

A: Once you are logged in you will notice a menu in the top navigation that has your 'USERNAME' as the title of the dropdown.  All your profile edit/add controls are in that dropdown.

Q: My photos are too big and it's telling me they need to be under 2000 pixels wide.

A: You should always resize your photos for the web before you upload them.  Here's a great tool to resize your photos.  It's fast, easy and free!

(FTR profile pics fit the best at a width of 600 pixels wide by whatever tall.)

Q: What is up with clicking on the helmets?

A: This is a form of CAPTCHA used to prevent automated computer robots from filling out forms and spamming our site with crap.  We feel it's easier for a user to click a few images rather than type in a word from a distorted image that is hard to read like most other sites do.  This way you just click each helmet once and it will mark it with a black underline to show it's been clicked.  Then you can submit the form and post your comment... or whatever form it is.
