Hello all my FRIENDS THAT RIDE!

We are very excited about the new version of the site we just launched last night!
Weknow there's a lot of little issues that we'll be working out over the next few days, but overall, the new features are working good.

Please look around at the new profiles and especially the Motorcycle Database (MDB), and Garage section on your profiles.  Add your RIDE to the MDB (if it's not already there) and then you can add it to your garage.

NOTE ABOUT ADDING RIDES TO THE MDB:  It may take a few minutes to get your new rides approved by an admin, so if they don't show up in the MDB right away thats why.  If you would like to become an admin and help approve new RIDES and PHOTOS in the MDB, let me know by sending me a message.

REPORT BUGS:

Please let us know about any bugs you find, by posting them here.  I'll fix things as fast as I can.

Hello Friends That Ride,

We been working hard on this site fixing some little bugs and usability issues.  Please let me know anything you find thats not working, or you if there's anything you can't figure out, or could be better. 

I know there's lots, but we are trying to prioritize what everyone wants.

News Feed 

We've changed the posts to only show your username, instead of your real name.  Let us know but we feel most of us don't need to use our real names on a public network.  Thats what facebook is for.

Garages

The new garage feature on your profile tabs is really cool.  I've added a little helper text so you all know how to add your rides to your garage.

Once a ride is in your garage, you can add as many photos of your ride as you want.  Your friends can even add rides of your bike.  This is super cool, because you'll get to see pics others have taken when out on group rides.

The Motorcycle Database.  (MDB)

This is coming along well.  We have tons of awesome features for this.  I need everyones help to add as many rides as we can to the MDB.

You don't have to fill much out to add a ride.  Just the 4 basic fields and you can add a new ride to the MDB.

• Year
• Make
• Model
• Class   (dirtbike, sportbike, cruiser etc...)
• Photo (is optional step 2 after you add the ride)

We are keeping track of which users add what rides, so you will get credit with the rides you've added, and we even have a point system coming soon, that is going to earn you lots of stuff, so you will be rewarded for your work.

There is SOOOOO much more to come.  We just need to keep adding members and get this site booming so we can afford to put more into it.

Online Store

The online store is almost ready.  We will be selling parts, and apparel and more... If you are a company with products to sell, please contact us.  We are accepting new products to carry, and will consider taking single items and entire product lines. 

STICKERS

If anyone wants stickers please send me a private message with your address and I'll throw some in the mail for you.

hmmm store & stickers...looks like I found another outlet for my money!

Website Update : (finally)

The FTR crew has been hard at work on the site.  But we haven't been posting updates.  I'll try to do that more often as we change stuff and make new features, and improve existing ones.

I've done a ton of tidy-up layout/css stuff lately
making areas much easier to use (and to look at)  Let me know what you think. 

The Forums look a lot better, and the main category list is much easier to scroll your eyes on.  Speaking of forums, let me know what Forum Categories everyone wants so we can add them for you as we go. 

The Blog sections navigation is jacked up color-wise, thats on my shortlist.

The Motorcycle Database is much better, but there's still a lot to go. Check it out and make sure to put your Rides in your Garage!

Here's a link where you can browse the entire list of motorcycles in the MDB.  This page is laid out better, and search/sorting also coming very soon.

The FTR online store is almost ready. 
We are planning to be selling motorcycle parts at competitive prices within a few weeks.  If you are a manufacturer of something that belongs for sale in our store, please contact us.

Facebook Connect
Coming very soon.  You'll be able to create an account in 2 clicks, but better than that, you will automatically be logged in at FTR if you're logged in at Facebook.  No more typing your username and passwords!!!

Search
Also coming very soon is FTR Search.  It's going to be badass. Trust me.

Today we did lots of tidy-ups.  Messaging looks and works lots better.

and the ICONS on the HTML editor eveywhere you post content, is simpler.  I got rid of all the buttons we don't use to make it simpler.
