This is a ride (Poker Run) to raise money for the 47th Civil Support Team Family Readiness Group. We use the money to fund family events for our unit. A set of mustang saddle bags, a gift card to House of Pain tattoo shop and 1yr subscription to Easy Rider Magazine are just some of the prizes. Early registration will get you a free T-shirt. If you miss the early registration not to worry T-shirts can be ordered the day of the ride. The registration fee will get you a 1 player card and lunch. The fee is per bike. Our goal is 200 bikes. Everyone is invited. For more information visit www.rideforcst.com. As I get more details such as Radio Stations, prizes and Sponsors, I will update this ride posting.  The following information is a little bit about our unit and what we do.

The establishment of the Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD)–Civil Support Team (CST) program is one of the measures that has been implemented to support the defense of the Homeland.
The WMD-CST program mission is to support civil authorities at domestic chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, and high-yield explosives (CBRNE) incident sites by identifying CBRNE agents and substances, assessing current and projected consequences, advising on response measures, and assisting with appropriate requests for additional support. This includes the intentional or unintentional release of CBRNE and natural or man-made disasters in the United States that result, or could result, in the catastrophic loss of life or property. As the “state governors’ 911 forces for WMD,” WMD-CSTs provide direct support to the front lines of local, state, and federal emergency response organizations. WMD-CST operations are conducted primarily in civil environments—urban, rural, industrial, or suburban areas—and in hot or cold weather.

Hello everyone,

I know that in most of the country it is cold and dreary, bu there is light at the end of the tunnel.  I am an active duty military member and my unit is hosting a Poker Run to support our unit and its Family Readiness Group.  Please go and check out www.rideforcst.com and come out and support our troops in this poker run.  There are several great prizes and lots of fun and fellowship.

Dang sounds like fun. Hope the turn out is great. Little too far from Phx Az. though, but I wish you the best of luck man.
