hello everyone, I'm Pete.  (petemaster5000).

I started this site a while ago for many obvious reasons.  But mainly my big ambition is to create a network of riders within all motorcycle diciplines (street, dirt, stunt, cruiser etc...) and offer one robust social network for all of us to meet more people, share photos and stories, and get companies in our industry all together to help make our industry better.

There's one thing we all have in common that we love to ride motorcycles, thus the slogan: "ALL RIDES WELCOME"

Please bear with us as we finalize our business plan and get financing/investors to fund this project.  We have a ton of ridiculously cool motorcycle specific features planned for this site that all tie together in some amazing ways that we are all going to love.

So far FTR is all funded by me.  And trust me it's not a small or cheap project involving a little HTML.  It's a robust system we've built using PHP and with big plans.  I myself have spend hundreds of hours that I don't get paid for, and many dollars out of my own pocket for programming expenses.  If you would like to help please contact me by sending a message, or if you'd like to make a donation to help cover expenses you can do so here:  www.friendsthatride.com/donate.html

A little more about me:Pete age 12 riding a 67 Ducati

I've been riding since I was about 12 when my dad put me on a 1967 Ducati and showed me how to ride it.  I've been addicted ever since.  I love riding motocross and sportbikes, but have also been known to ride a cruiser/harley once in a while too.

My occupation for the past 10+ years is web design and marketing.  More of my work can be seen here:  www.stealthindustries.net.

I'm also a pretty good photographer and have many photo shoots under my belt including models, portraits, scenery and action sports.  Although I'm not shooting so much lately because other projects like FTR have me overly busy, I plan to get more into photography again in the future.

I live in Buckeye, AZ, where we ride street and dirt. More dirbikes than anything lately though... I live right by a huge dune and tons of trails around the white tank mountains. Checkout my photo-galleries for pics of our riding areas and let me know if you want to come ride with us. We ride just about every weekend and some week nights.

I have lots of plans for FTR get togethers and events but I need help planning them and more people to help execute these ideas.

Some of these include: Group Rides, fund raisers, clean up our riding areas campaign, stunt shows, races and more....   If you have some ideas or just want to get involved and help grow Friends That Ride, please send me a message.

That's about it for me.... Now that I've broken the introduction ice,  who's next?

Well Hi there!

My name is Mae (sxyvxnsf)
I am 27yo and I live in Denver, Co.
I started riding after I found how much I liked being passenger (in 2006 after my 2nd ride) and decided that I'd perfer to be responsibile for my well being on a bike then someone else. I then took the MSF course (on 4/20/07 haha) and a friend let me play in the parking lots on her older FZR600. Because of ID theft I wasn't able to get my bike as quickly as I wanted, so in the meantime I began to severely educate myself on riding, bikes, how accidents happen, what people did to correct their mistake before it turned into a crash and just overall general knowledge of riding. It wasnt until exactly a year after my last ride on her bike (or any bike for that matter) that I finally could afford to get my own.
I have a 2008 SV650SF which I got in late Aug of 2008. I started out VERY rusty and took 60 miles of putting around my nearest 5 blocks or so before I would go out into traffic. My first day outside of my neighborhood I doubled my mileage. Same with the second day. In less then a month I was in the canyons. I rode alot last winter not only because it was a mild winter but because I didnt mind the cold & I wanted to ride. Since then I have put on over 8000miles and plan on having at least 10k on the odo by dec 31st of 2009 if not 10k for this year if the weather holds out.

I also enjoy being a dork and I have no sense of style and I just do/wear what I like. You only have one life afterall, try everything and enjoy it while you can!

my name is Dave Stiefvater

I’ll be a year younger next week
I live in the Denver Colorado area but it’s likely ill pop up in your town
I’ve always been an adrenalin junky so in my down time from board sports I ride a motorcycle or 2
for the last few years I’ve been on a custom 2000 Buell X1. Currently I am in the process of getting a 2010 Yamaha R1
over all riding style would be FAST I don’t like to go slow. I’m the guy you’ll see cracking 120 on the highway passing cars like they are standing still and that’s the main reason I ride a bike
I know about FTR because I know Pete (love the site) we met at a photo shoot he did where they needed some punk guy with a huge Mohawk so I showed up with a 2ft high Mohawk and it was on from there. I’ve met other members on this site at parties at Pete’s house (Colorado) so what up Alfy and Charles
For my Job I work as a CNC machinist for an Optics company http://www.ovt.com/ or http://www.cdm-optics.com/ . when I have down time at work I like to make custom parts. made a lot of custom linkage, foot pegs, license plate holders, handle bars, and other fancy parts for just about any type of bike actually look at Pete’s bike if you can check out his stainless steel monster spike bar ends they are HOT or check out my profile
On the side I build custom bikes for http://www.ecossemoto.com
<img src=http://www.ecossemoto.com/images/Home-PicTOPN.jpg>
not a bike most of you are probably familiar with they are fully custom bikes built to your body and your riding styles starting around 60k for the basic version and moving on to the full titanium bike. We also build conversion kits for several other bikes. All in all there is only 16 of these bikes made to date we sell about 4 to 6 a year this bike has been in Forbes mag all in all ill say do some research on the bike you’ll be impressed it’s not all looks and glam
and as if I wasn’t busy enough (ha) for the last 14 years I have been a competitive mountain boarder on the Pro circuit . I hold many titles mostly in freestyle and have had the opportunity to travel the world (hence why I may be in your town) doing demos, expos, competitions, media stunts, stunt shows and promotions Google my name or pure63 and you’ll find me

CHLX NOV 10 2010 9:11 AM

Hay wats up all, Im Jason....AKA Chil Lax.....from North Phx., Az. Im in my mid 30s now, just started riding full time about a year ago on a 01' CBR 929 I got from a friend that dropped it...well his wife made him get rid of it so I jumped on the opportunity. It is such a sweet bike. Not the fasted and not the best handling, but it is mine and I Fn Luv It.

I do like to ride a little fast and plan on getting into drag racing a little. They said I need a leather jacket, I only have a mesh and a textile jacket @ the moment. Only been a bit over 150mph and the front gets shaky needs a dampener. Interested in stunting, but want a cage first and a 2nd bike before I get into it more.  Can stand up on it and pull little wheelies, but gearing is wrong and I have to dump it more then I comfortable with to get it up there. Gearing is more for commuting. I ride about 90 miles a day on t he east 101.
I am looking for people to ride with. I don't really get a chance to plan anything due to work, so I tend to come off a little flaky.I don’t mean to be, but I am the only one in the house with a job right now, so whatever the man wants.....sounds like such a sell out......Anyways, Im usually available on Sundays if anyone is out there riding hit me up.

Riding For Charity

I’m asking for your help in my efforts to support local Metropolitan Detroit charities. I’m looking for donations to purchase a Harley Davidson Road Glide Ultra Motorcycle that I promise to use to raise money for local charities each year.

I have spoken to a number of local Harley Davidson dealers and know that Harley Davidson gives to and supports many different charities each year.   I would love nothing better than to help do my part in giving back to the community.

One of the things I plan on doing if I am able to secure enough funds to purchase the H.D. Motorcycle is to get involved with some of the many H.D. riding groups in my area and do my best to become a vocal leader in raising money to give back to the community.

My plan is to each year have a pay for mile ride where the group would give someone a ride on their motorcycle and collect donations for each mile driven. The funds would then go to a local charity of choice selected by the group.

I can’t think of a better way to have fun while raising money for local charities.

So will you please help me in my efforts to make this dream come true?

Please send your donations to:
