I was looking at getting a 450 Dirt Bike and was wondering if anyone knows the good or the bad about any of the brands.  At first I was looking at getting a used one, but all I could find was early 2000 models for around $3500 to $5000, I then was talking to a dealer friend of mine and he said he could get me a 09 Kawasaki 450 for $6000 and that the 09's are now fuel injected.  I do not know if that is good or not to have fuel injection on a dirt bike. 

Just wondering what everyone thought and if there are better deals I could be getting or if One bike is better for me do to my size and riding ability or if it is just a personal preference thing.

you definitely want a 450 if you get a dirtbike.  any smaller and you'd probably crush it brotha!!!!  you can find 450's all the time on craigs list that are within 2-3 years old for 3-4k.  no need to spend 6000 unless you really want a new one.

i don't really have too much preference.  i like my YZ.  the new kawis are pretty sweet.  fule injections would be tight cuz then you can change your fuel mapping esier that pulling the carb and changing jets.    i've always like honda's too.  i haven't had a suzuki for a long time but i kinda  like the look of those these days also.  just find a good deal and try to find one that hasn't been raced to shit.  you dont wanna blow a motor right after you get it.

theres lots of good deals around if you look.  people losing jobs and houses and needing money are selling their toys for cheap!!! so be patient and look around for a deal.

for sale is a '08 YAMAHA YZ 450 F in EXCELLENT condition with under 15 HRS. running time. bike was completely dissassembled before 1st ride to grease and service all moving parts, change and oil the TWIN AIR filter , rejet the carb. and lube all cables. also took off the stock BLUE plastic including number plates and fork guards to replace with WHITE plastic set. numbers on bike are for show only, bike has never been raced or abused. extra parts include aftermarket footpeg lowering brackets and stock brackets, 2 TWIN AIR filters plus never used stock filter and the 2 sets of plastic. i have already checked the valves twice and also just replaced the stock rear tire. has a clean air filter, fresh motor oil and is ready to ride or race. $4995. call george at 720 238 5719 thanks.

there are a TON of bikes in AZ that are cheap...you can get clean 450's 2000-2004 for around 2000-3000....i use to live in Denver and do drive back and forth at times

yeah bro, Scottsdale Honda has brand new 08 Honda 450s for 3800!

i really want to get a new one, but i wont get crap for my 04  :(   but thats ok.  it still rips just fine.
